I am on the look out for somegeneral purpose commuter lights for the winter and have seen a short write up on the "Reelight SL120". Has any one tried these and if so are they any good. i.e do they do there job or do the magnets interfere with a cycle computer.

Regardless of what the lights like I don't think I would want a heavy magnet on my spokes.

I would go for a conventional dynamo.

I often see three cyclists in the darker months (in different places - it's not the same cyclist ;)), obviously training - though maybe using the commute for it. They're certainly visible and catch ones attention. I don't think that it would be a 'good idea' for me to stop them to get an opinion

I've seen them on someone else's bike, and would say they are pretty useless in an urban environment - they are very dim.
