Refitting a PVC compression fitment

I undid a PVC compression fitment under my sink. Behind the white outer casing was a black rubber O-ring and a flat orange gasket.

I can't remember what order they came off. Does the black rubber O-ring go immediately next to the white outer casing, or is it the flat orange gasket?

it doesn't matter - it will start leaking 5 minutes after you re-assemble it anyway.

Rubber seal first as that is the seal ,the washer is so it stops the seal twisting.
so seal, washer, nut
