The other day I could have sworn I saw a guy with full-length tights which had reflective skeleton bones in them - hugely noticable and I thought a great safety feature - I have a north-wave skeleton jersey which seems to make drivers smile and behave more kindly towards me and I can only imagine the sight of skeleton legs going up and down would have a similar effect...

Only thing is - a week's worth of googling has come up with nowt - so did I imagine this?

If so - what are the best reflective over tights for dark winter commutes?

Thanks all!

I think these Altura night visions look a bit skeleton like to me... Real skeleton reflectives would be cool though.

Foska do the "Bones" raining jacket, and were pressed for some time for matching leg wear but unsuccessfully

Personally I would love a pair to match the jacket!

Northwave used to do some kit that had skellington bones on it - not sure it was reflective though. I have the Bones jacket & it definitely buys more space from drivers when it's properly dark - nice piece of kit.

a long time ago I definitely saw a rider in iridescent two tone purple green tights there were incredible, endless googling has found nothing even close to them

A guy I meet on my commute wears them in winter. They're very visible from the front and behind.

He works for All Terrain Cycles - 01274588488 - ring them up and ask for the bearded guy who cycles from Morley.

He'll tell you where he got them from.

Funnily enough, I've been looking for nice hi viz recently and a few days ago I'm sure I saw some skeleton leggings online. Only problem is I can't find them now! I'm at work so don't have time to Google away, but when I get home I'll check my history. I was Googling "stylish hi viz" at the time I think, you could try that.

Could try something like this. Not cycle specific though. Does glow in the dark

With some scotchlite tape, some basic sewing skills, a pair of bikesters and a pair of scissors, it ought to be possible to make some. The shapes could be relatively basic (one cartoony femur, and a tibia/fibula combo below the knee), and at least scotchlite tape doesn't need hemming to prevent fraying.

Reckon you're not going to get much more full length than this one:

but I don't know if it's reflective. Probably not
