Some motorcars, incuding the Jensen Interceptor I owned, didn't have rear seat belts.
Nevertheless, I fitted rear belts to carry my younger son while my eldest rode in the front.

Just because its old enough to be exempt, err on the side of safety.:biggrin:

I'm not sure about the rules in the UK but I can tell you that out here almost nobody has lights on their bikes. However most have rear reflectors on the mudguards and yellow ones on the pedals and they really do show up the bikes in the car lights as you approach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's both. Bikes have to be sold with front reflectors, but you can take them off (as with the bell).

Rear and pedal reflectors must be used in all dark road riding.

Sorry, that's what I meant to say with my posting!

I was responding to Alecstilleyedie's response to the CTC cut and paste. If that doesn't sound even more confusing.
