Thanks for the advice everyone:smile:
I've successfully removed the old and replaced with new chainrings. So far, so good. No creaking noises and shifts like butter. It also fixed my chain suck.

I used loctite on my chainring bolts. I was advised this would help reduce any creaking.

Btw....... Good shout from @Richard A Thackeray re. Wear gardening gloves and avoid skinned knuckles

Use an allen socket on a 3/8" ratchet. Allen keys are the tool of the charlatan, only suitable for roadside bodgery not high order master craftmanship. Allen keys on multi tools are the work of Lucifer himself.
What's wrong with a normal set of workshop allen keys? My Pedros ones seem fine after several years use.
