Replacement Sora pads?

I've been aware for a while that the sora pads on my winter bike are useless but after a hairy moment today made me realise its time for something better... I'm just after something with a decent price tag that stops well. What do you guys use?

Koolstop salmons. they'll improve your braking no end.

For a cheaper option; Clarks CPS240. Currently £4.99 at Chain Reaction per set and you get a spare pair of pads.

Aztecs are good but they are hard on rims

I went through some rims in one winter using Aztec pads. I'll admit I wasn't as fastidious at keeping the pads and rims clean as I am now, but I won't use them again.
