Replacing bearings for Praxis PF30 conversion

I have a Fuji with a Praxis PF30 conversion, which has not had any attention to the BB for the last 5years. There is no play in the BB, but there is a new creak.

Over the last year or so I have got quite into doing my own maintenance, and even made a few wheel sets, quite enjoyed it. Not done any BB work yet though. I am torn between buying the bits versus taking to the LBS, given peoples experiences with creaking BBs.

Does anyone have any recommendations for equipment for extraction / press kits. Or is there alternate advice to steer well clear!!?

Get new bearings, tap the old ones out from the far side and drift the new ones in using the old bearing as a drift. Just make sure you tap them in straight. I have the Praxis unit and have changed the bearings previously and have a spare set on the shelf ready for next time ....

No need to remove the unit from the bike to do this.
