trust me, it is very frustrating for police too.

if i spot someone on a phone whilst off duty CPS will not support a poastal summons for the offence unless it is witnessed by a second officer .

puts it into prospective for you all.

this means i have half the powers or eyesight off duty then when on duty.

when on duty i just love to give tickets for seat belts and mobile phone offences, because i feel that it is just damn ignorance by road users.

only problem is so so many people are doing it, i easily run out of tickets if i really go for it when on duty

I have to say something positive about the police the other day. On Thursday I saw someone drive up a pedestrianised area illegally, after driving up a restricted street too and then drive the wrong way up a one way road. The police officer stopped him and appeared to be giving him a fine (and he didn't even see him drive up the pedestrianised area). Unfortunately I also got told off by him for the nth time for using the contraflow cycle lane. Still he meant well.

It's not all about mobile phones though is it?

Some of these clowns either can't drive responsibly or don't really care.

I saw a motorcyclist almost get knocked off yesterday although I can't confirm whether motorist was in mobile. If they wern't then that incident was worrying.

Mercedes going north on Streatham High Road goes from the right hand lane in to the left hand lane, No signal. While I'm in that particular part of the left hand lane. I slow down, let her past, signal right, overtake, and say 'do you think you could learn to drive?' She barely looks up from watching the video on her phone....
