Ahhhh accidents.

Whereas I have had 2 accidents with peds I have had only one minor (collision) with a car (in 1987) Slow speed collsision.(no damage but I hit him up the rear) Oooer.

I had a screw insert itself into my rear tyre yesterday and as it's a greentyre it didn't p*nct*re but I had to stop to pull it out of the tyre.

While I was stopped (Quite near Mile End) a moton questioned me about how many p*nct*res I had had and I did inform that the tyre wasn't actually p*nctur*d due to the type of tyre it is.

He told me he had done 9 commutes and had seven p*nct*res so it had put him off of cycling.

So I said try buying the better tyres and tried giving him a bit of advice on this.
Yes so I escaped again and am trying to go through the year without a p*nct*re but am cheating a bit with that rear tyre.

People are actually surprised that how expensive cycling can be if you are serious about it as opposed to buying a piece of crap and cycling to work on it.(Yes I did that for years)

Seems like p*nct*res put people off of cycling as well and I can understand that....I have had days where it has gone totally wrong and I have ended up walking miles home.

Sorry but I'm having real trouble getting my head round the idea of someone riding greentyres advising someone on 'buying better tyres'...

I haven't had any problems with them.Half the time I forget what tyre im riding with on the back.

Plus the fact I have commuted at 1000+ miles on this tyre which is probably 1000+ miles more than you.

Another fact is I didn't tell this bloke to get a Greentyre and I won't tell anybody on here because personally I couldn't give a toss.

Im happy with what I ride on how I ride and if people don't like it then they can get stuffed.
