Hi all am doing a 100 miler in 3 weeks , have been cycling and training for past 2 weeks , 20 miles min a day with a 70 miler chucked in ( found that tough ) but think i should be ok by the 24th august , just want some advice of how many stops and for how long i should break for , quick breaks , long breaks , eat when im moving or stop and eat properly , will probably take me 7 - 9 hours took me 6.25 to do 70 miles , remember im no club rider , doing it on my hybrid claude butler urban 200 ,

If I eat when I am exercising I get a 'stich' quite quicky. But that might just be me.

Me too, if I eat too soon before a time trial or something. But for a 100 refuelling at regular intervals is necessary.

Eat regularly, on or off the bike, and rest if and when you want to. There's no one answer. How did you manage on the 70? what worked and what didn't?

Are you doing it solo or in a group ? You'll go a lot quicker in a group - as well as taking your mind off the distance/pain etc.
