After a few years of not being in a position to commute, this week saw me back on the early morning journey by bike into work. I had forgotten just how good it is, and how good it makes you feel. Didn't manage to cycle in every day due to a meeting where I had to travel by car, but delighted to be back into a bit of a routine.

Pretty tired tonight, but looking forward to week number two starting...

Nothing beats getting where you need to be on your own steam and wide awake every day. Enjoy!

Lucky bugger. I really miss the cycling bookends to my day in the office.

I had also forgotten how many people speak to you, give you a nod or a wave, a who smile when you say hello.
Or, if it's me, a grunt of acknowledgement and a raising of a couple of fingers as anything more than that would require oxygen to be available. ^_^

I still have no intention of buying a helmet cam

Although it might have been quite handy for filming the 4 cars I saw off the road or on their ribs this week, and the truck who hit a deer..and the deer lying dead on the road, which I lifted into the undergrowth with the help of the truck driver. The joys of the rural commute...

You obviously don't commute in Edinburgh Noods ;)

I only got mine to get so far in to my case if I was off'ed (i.e. additional injuries) - got to the private assessment point and binned the cam.
I suppose I could get one and post movies of the lovely countryside and friendly people I meet ^_^

But somehow I think that would not go down well with the moaners :boxing:

I am so, so tired today...think I'll need to find a supplier of "man up" tablets before I head for home tonight. :surrender:
