I just bought this as a work bik an an instinct anyway maybe someone can shed some light into what model year as it was worth a bit of a punt.

It has spider by itm carbon forks, mavic wheels and is 20 speed.........Frame has some markings, brakes work fine, touch of play in the crank but the problem is the left hand shifter (shimano 105 flightdeck) isnt working and is stuck on the largest cog ...sometimes trying to come of the big ring(as in pic) anyway there it is with pink pedals and mudguard not sure of size but i am just over 6ft and fits like a glove

they have used the same basic frame for a few years now. they can be made to however you want so it depends on the year of the groupset i would have thought.

My ribble has the same forks but also has the website on the drive side chainstay so I would guess that your frame is slightly earlier as the later models tend to have www.ribble.co.uk on the chainstay, don't know the exact dates though.
At a guess I would say 58 to 60cm size.

Have you checked the cables are lubricated and free from dirt? Might be worth checking as a sticky cable can stop an STI from changing. If not I would take it to an LBS, if it is condemed you might get one of ebay for a reasonable cost second hand.

^1 Pretty unusual for a shifter to be busted IMHO, more than likely a seized cable. Strip you cable, lube your outers fit new inner, set up and ride off. If that doesn't sort it then the shifter will need looking at, but cables tend to be greatly overlooked when it comes to routine maintenance.

Great bike though. I had the same frame early last year as a 105 build winter bike, and I've always regretted selling it. I am actually thinking of buying a new Ribble 7005 frame and building it up as my best bike I liked it that much.

PS: Who did you think would be laughing? Anyone worth their salt will appreciate this bike as the no nonsense excellent value, (especially used), training bike a Ribble 7005 makes.

As Zophiel says, the same basic frame is still sold by Ribble - listed at £129.99 right now: http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/sp/road-track-bike/Ribble-Audax-Winter-7005-Frame/RIBBFRAW220
