Just wondering if it's within the ability of mere mortals to remove the link by editing the post:
Ribble
Actually, seems that something (perhaps my ad blocker) is also preventing the generation of affiliate links - which is nice![]()
The above is a link to Ribble!!!......though not in the quote. Bizarre! 😄
I'm not sure how I feel about advertising Ribble especially living nearby and riding there regularly I'm forever using the word!!! 🤣

If it really irritates you, you could always intentionally mis-spell it![]()

You can tag/mention someone, then someone can quote that post and they don't get tagged/mentioned a second time, which would result in another alert being given. The above is a link to Ribble!!!......though not in the quote. Bizarre! 😄

Lol no, no gains for the Mods team, just Shaun, the site's owner, getting some pennies to pay for his running costs.Should you be telling us how to circumvent the site's advertising? Don't these ill-gotten gains keep the mod cupboard stocked with biscuits?![]()
I don't object to this but was unaware of it. I have often noticed how Ribble turns to a link but only clicked one a couple of days ago.Lol no, no gains for the Mods team, just Shaun, the site's owner, getting some pennies to pay for his running costs.
What I suggested is common knowledge on CC, lots of members do not like to support some companies, misspelling their names is the way not to get them tagged.

My main concern was it might appear I, personally, was trying to advertise a company. I'm no great fan of Ribble but I'm happy the site earns some cash.
