Craters of The Moon, Idaho

A slight exaggeration methinks!

Had a leisurely two days covering 100km between Minidoka and Arco along the eastern boundary of the park. Saw a small flock of sheep, elk footprints, and heard coyotes at night. No cars, no people, no noise 🙂

On the Trans America route it's in an old church building and should really be considered an obligatory overnight for all cyclists. (Tiger Town Brewing Co. just down the road is an added bonus 🙂)

Not my pic unfortunately. The Oregon California border is ablaze. There are dozens of major wildfires necessitating hundreds of firefighters. The air is smoke filled over thousands of acres. Along with many locals who have been forced to evacuate their homes, I'm sheltering at the American Red Cross in Crescent City, CA

Hurricane Hilary wreaked havoc over many desert areas in California and Nevada. Today's 80km ride was regularly interrupted by washaways.
