August '24. Near Fallon, Nevada.

No signs for road closure. I chose to ignore barrier, unload and carry over instead of backtracking 12km.

Just looking at these in awe - I mean the organisation that goes into these trips (or trip) must be phoenimal?

Sept. 24. Horseshoe Bend, Colorado River, Page, Arizona.

Early morning shadows at the time of my visit were not conducive to good photos. So here's the vista poster instead 😉

Feels so good to be back on the bike again after a longer than initially intended hiatus. Mostly good anyway. Although of same make and model as previous, my new saddle is causing 'concern'.

Arizona backcountry is spiderwebbed with dirt roads and trails. This is Courthouse Rock in the Eagletail mountains west of Phoenix, as seen from Pipeline Road. 60 miles, 100km of primitive road, aka irregularly and then mostly poorly maintained gravel and rock. Bliss 😉

This was a quick detour off my latest adventure, the Arizona Peace Trail.
