Ride now TPU plastic bits

The newer versions have a plastic bit on the valve stem. Do you really need this on, where is it supposed to go. Had no issues with the ones without them on.

It goes between the locking nut and the rim and is shaped to match the rim profile. If your rim is flatter, I’d discard it.

That plastic collar is to stop the valve stem getting pulled into the rim when you inflate it. If yours are seating fine without it, you don't need it. Lots of people toss them.
