Thinking about the "Taking a bike into Tescos" thread elsewhere, it occurs to me that there is definitely a market for places where you can take your bike in without having to faff outside with locks and QR bits.

I keep light by having locks at home and at work so once on the road I go from point to point without them, and I think this is quite common in London. However, being in central London I wouldn't leave the bike unlocked for any length of time, but this means that I can't really stop off at a store for a pint of milk or cup of coffee easily.

Also the food options of an evening are considerably reduced: I think the only cycle-through option is the McDonald's Drive Thru - and in a big 'three window' branch the bike isn't big enough to register on the server's radar! It is also (a secondary point) terrible food.

Please could someone open a branch of Leon, a burrito store, noodle bar etc. in the City which is either ride through(!) or has an external serving window. The ultimate goal is to get through without unclipping!

A friend of mine popped in for a pint and then went back to his car outside the pub to discover he'd left it unlocked, with the lights on, and the engine running, so anything's possible.

Been there done that:

The woman also mentioned that the speaker wouldnt pick me up, so I should just come to the first window in future.

McDonalds official line js they won't serve cyclists or horse riders at drive thru's because of 'Health and Safety'.

Health and safety indeed - you don't want a fit and healthy cyclist eating that s***e!
