Chad - someone's asked a question on Slowtwitch ref why different routing/map apps (and devices) produce such different assessments of climb.
My approach is to compare apples with apples and not waste time on it. One also gets to know that, generally RwGPS makes alow estimate of climb compared to eg Openrunner, whatever tool Audax UK use (for AAA points), and what comes out on Garmin Connect after a ride.
When time allows can you help us (me) to understand? I assume this is down to sampling rates and algorithms.

As you ought to know, there is only one answer to climbing figures:
Take an OS-map and a pencil, then count the contours crossed.

No other method should be trusted! [This is actually how the original hilly Audax events were measured. ee by gum, etc ... ]
