RideLondon-Essex 100 Charity places 2023 available

Lyme Disease Action has charity places available for the 2023 event. If you didn't get a place in the public ballot recently and would like to participate and also raise funds for a very well deserving cause, then email fundraising@lymediseaseaction.org.uk

Lyme disease is caused by the bite of an infected tick, if not recognised and treated early with antibiotics it can lead to very debilitating symptoms. Please read LDA's web site for more information:

LDA still has places available for the event. The charity is run entirely by volunteers, so your contribution by doing the event and fundraising would be very much appeciated!

If you have requested a place and haven't had a reply back, please check your junk folder as emails for .org charity email addresses can often be filtered there! If you still can't find the reply - post a message on here and I will be able to help you

We are all volunteers and all work from home, so we would really appreciate if you could take part in this event and fundraise for us. We have a project that needs your help as well as funding our awareness raising leaflets that we supply to various bodies around the UK.

Awareness about how to remove a tick safely can make such a massive difference and prevent symptoms and long term health issues if not done properly:

The first case of definite UK tick-borne encephalitis, as reported this month, was mountain biking in Yorkshire. TBE is v low risk; Lyme disease is higher. We work closely with health professionals and scientists as by helping them we can help patients. We are the only Lyme disease charity recommended by the UK HSA. Help us to get our evidence based information on tick-borne diseases out there!

LDA still has a place up for grabs if you can raise something for the charity it would be very much appreciated.

Deadline today (27th April) at 16:00 for completion of the registration but I need to send you an invite before that deadline in order to complete the application and there have been difficulties this year with email addresses not receiving the invite so please don't leave it to the last hour to apply for a place.
