Ridgeback Genesis Day 02 ???

Not sure if this is 100% the right place for this but thought I would ask.

I have just started cycling to work and want to get a road bike I have been looking and want a flat bar as at the moment dont get on with a drop bar. I have been offered a Ridgeback Genesis Day 02 Road Bike for £180ish 5 months old is this a good bike and worth the money. as far as i can tell it is but just after a bit of feedback on the bike.

Any help would be great.

Genesis produce some excellent bikes and the 02 is a good 'un. Assuming the bike you have been offered has not been damaged or had bits swapped for cheaper spec stuff, you can't really go wrong especially at that price. Check your bike's spec against that on Genesis' website.

I can only go on my Ridgeback commuter (a velocity) touch wood, its bomb proof. For robustness, Ridgeback's it seems like ideal.

I love Genesis bikes so was very taken with the idea of this one hope i can get it now

Well I went to look at it last night and its a bit older than i first thought it was but still in very good condition so i bought it for £170
