Ridgeback Panorama Delux - worth the money?

Any Delux owners out there who think the disc braked option makes sense at about £1400 odd quid? I'm tempted to buy and spread the cost over the winter months for next Summer, given up on any summer in 2015....

Not keen on disc brakes plus the groupset could do with uprating. My old Adventure (Tange CrMo frame) runs Deore plus has a square taper BB that just runs standard bearings (not cartridge) for ease of repair whilst away, I could fit the nearly new Ultegra triple with outboard bearings I've got in the workshop (shed) but then I may struggle if it breaks in the middle of nowhere.
Good frame to build up a long distance machine from though but I'd be spending another £600-£700 on it changing components. (a Brooks B17 narrow is £90 for a start)
