Man this morning was interesting. I couldnt go fast but it was quite an enjoyable ride. I extended it out into Netley village again and decided it would be a good opportunity to practise spinning up hill. It was eerie in places, you see a ghostly shape walking across the road as the odd pedestrian was out and about that early.

Still a bit shocked at how many drivers I saw, and how many of them drove without even the lights on dim (and this was in the dark, as well as the fog, at 6.40am - I counted 6 of them). A couple of the cars I saw heading the other way were definately driving at about 35-40mph too.

And the other thing. Dont you love how your light becomes like a light sabre in the fog. :becool:

I love the fog too. But especially at night when the cars are all at home in their garages. It brings out that pre-existing condition (stupidity) in too many of them.

There's something nice about being shrouded in clouds of fog as long s the clothes are right... and once the cars are gone, the wildlife comes out. Shining your light sabre at a fox's eyes can be quite spooky.

Autumn has definitely arrived.

Love the fog too, but cant uses the flashers !!

it'd drive me bonkers

I set my lamp to steady and its brightest setting. I did also stick the Hope on the bars and angle it down to 4 feet in front of the bike for potholes etc.. trouble is the Hope doesnt like the Jake's bars and just keeps swinging down out of place

Seems a bit more stable in the Kinesis the other day.

I don't like riding in fog - i wear glasses and its bad enough them steaming up when the weather is cold (like this morning). But in the fog

Thursday was my first experience in cycling in mist/fog. Discovered quite quickly that unlike rain, where the visor on my helmet pretty much covers them, mist just instantly left millions of droplets of water on my lenses. Couldn't see a thing! To me touching my glasses with my bare fingers is sacrilege, but soon I realised the only remedy was frequent wiping with my fingers.
