While the peloton was supposed to continue straight, the motorbike turned right, taking half a dozen riders with it. When the driver realised his error, he pulled over to the side of the road but some of the following cyclists were unable to react in time to avoid it.
I have read a couple of accounts, and cannot see any mention of disc brakes being a cause of this accident or responsible for the injuries..... is there a source?

Disc brakes on the motorcycle. If he had rim brakes, then he wouldn't stop so quickly causing the accident. QED disc brakes are the cause of the accident, not the motorcyclist not reading his map.
