Amazing that he could use his hands for such hard work but still be so deft in playing.

My Mum replaced a photo of my Dad with one of Acker back around the Strangers on the Shore era. Us kids thought it hilarious although my old man wasn't so amused.
At the time of watching this programme on Saturday early evening...

My mum loved Acker and we played this at her funeral. If you have not heard it then you will have a heart of stone if you dont need a little dab of your eye when you play this.

Thanks for the link, I forgot all about this piece. This and stranger. Only the greatest musicians create a piece of music that touches your very heart. This for me was one of them. One of the last great English musicians of his generation.
