I remember listening to her, with her understated introduction to the show with that ..... "Hi"

In one of his books (possibly Thankyou For The Days?), Mark Radcliffe writes about his first days at Radio 1, & Annie calling into the office he was using & asking if he was okay/did he need anything
He was awe-struck that this legend (in his eyes) was concerned about him, & simply welcomed him
(he also felt the same way, when he first met John Peel)

Watched a very good documentary recently narrated by Annie, well worth a watch if you're from this era, or are interested in it's history

Sad news. I remember her on The Old Grey Whistle Test in i think it was the 1980's. Did she replace whispering Bob Harris, or did she stand in for him sometimes? 🤔

I might be wrong but I think she replaced him. Having said that, the show was none the worse for it.
