I am reminded that I've yet to scratch my Rohloff itch. Do I *need* a Rohloff bike? No, but still I'd love to own such a great piece of engineering.

That is sad news. I’ve got a Rohloff equipped bike and while it’s not my favourite, there’s no denying the (over)-engineering that‘s gone into it.
