and that was apparently only half of her professional career, amazing longevity, RIP Betty.
Compared to the early days of Corrie,and i don't watch it but the mil does.It's past it's sell by date.The old cast were superb.Ena,Minnie the other one. Martha Jack and Annie Waiker ,Len,Stan and Hilda the list just goes on and on .It actually used to feel real.What they went through you seemed to go through the same.It also seemed grittier in black and white.
Rest in peace Betty.

Not particularly selecting this post but why do people start RIP threads on people they aren't related to, didn't know and who didn't know them?

Call me heartless, but I also find these outpourings of 'national grief' to be a nonsense.
Everyone seems to have to attach themselves to a cause these days.
Maybe there are a few too many guilty conscience's that need massaging ?

If you think that is bad, then you should see some of the Aviation Forums out there, especially the U.S. ones.
Everytime there is an accident and people are killed, then all you get is such a vomit inducing, mawkish outpouring of false 'grief', where everybody suddenly starts 'praying' for everyone involved and when a picture or illustration of the plane appears, then little ribbons suddenly materialise as if the crash has suddenly become a charity!
Maybe its because I'm a Brit, but Purleeeze, pass the sick bucket!!
Even the plane gets R.I.P. messages!!

It doesn't seem that long ago she was still in that soap, I'm guessing 2 at most, that'd make her 89 then, she seemed to be in good shape for that age and getting to 91 seems a fair crack at the whip too.
