I remember she was once booked to play at a biker gathering and as she was singing she was pelted with cans and bottles that to quote a fellow Welshman (Max Boyce) "Once held Bitter Beer" but now held something else.
She was a decent 'Pop' star but playing to a biker audience was never gonna end well

internet search says it was the 1988 Reading festival and she wasn't the only one targeted, serious mistake by the organisers to book 'Pop' acts at a Rock event

Her real name was Gaynor Hopkins. You don't get more Welsh than that. Always liked her, ever since I watched her on the telly singing Lost in France.
