RIP both Tommy Godwins

I didn't realise that there were two famous cycling Tommy Godwins - I thought they were the same man. Some of you will never even have heard of the name and I think it is worth bringing these men to your attention.

The earlier Godwin set amazing cycling distance records back in the 1930s/1940s - he cycled 75,065 miles in 1939 - link. Inspiring stuff!

The second of the two has just died - His achievements include two medals at the 1948 Olympics in London - link.

I didn't realise the 2nd Tommy Goodwin was still alive; I thought he'd died years ago.
