I think I first followed her around the time of the Grenfell disaster and found her to be one of the clearest voices cutting through the blather and hand-wringing.

I didn't know about the self-gratification artists thing before reading her obit and never thought to look it up on the wayback machine. That's a great read, thanks. What a way with words she had.
