Back in the 80s I was on honeymoon in Clearwater,
There was a massive gym on the top floor of the hotel. It had all the latest workout and was rarely used.
Early one morning we were in the gym and my wife was running on the treadmill and chatting to a guy next to her.
The guy turned out to be Hulk Hogan. He was nothing like his persona, until he was in front of a crowd.
We met him a couple more times before he invited us to dinner on his motor cruiser. It was just unreal. Also at dinner was Randy Savage, Hulk Hogans tag team partner and Randys wife Elizabeth. Of all the people on the boat. Elizabeth would be the last one I would fight on that boat.
His biggest gripe about Englshmen was about his next door neighbour, Nigel Mansell. He really did not like him because of a neighbour dispute.

I took my lad to the SummerSlam at the old Wembley stadium in (?) 1992.
Unfortunately, Hulk Hogan wasn't there but it was certainly a spectacke worth seeing even if only for the razzamataz like the Legion of Doom riding motorcycles to the ring for their match against Money Inc., and The Undertaker traveling atop a hearse to face off with Kamala.
HH would have topped even them, I'm sure!
