I'm a bit shocked that he was still only 51. That means he was 37 when the first series of The Sopranos was made but I thought that he looked in his late 40s even back then.

I held out for years, but finally thought that I'd give it a go. The first couple of episodes didn't really do that much for me, but by the time I got to episode 3 or 4, I was hooked. I got all the series out on DVD, one after another, and usually watched one episode an evening, sometimes two. I almost felt bereft when I got to the end!
I'd suggest buying the boxed set on DVD on eBay, watch them all, then sell them again for what you paid, or even at a small profit!
I'm going to give it a few years, then I might watch the whole lot again.
