Sad news.... aged 72. Married 50 years.
Apparently THAT song took him just 30 minutes to write and is one of my all time favourites.

He was less known for Highfly, but that song evokes great memories for me of that time. It doesn't get much airtime on the radio stations, other than the odd spin by Ken Bruce on radio 2.
