My wife just told me about this, very sad indeed. Our thoughts to all friends of family of the deceased.

The road has standard cycle lanes but is very narrow.
Are you sure? They look substandard width in photos. But it's probably irrelevant as the Golf ended up overturned in some shops, so I doubt even kerbs or Paris-style post-protected lanes would have helped much. RIP

Chilling, I know that road all too well, it's wide and people are often tempted to put their foot down ignoring the speed restrictions.

My thoughts with the family and friends of the deceased.

Really sad.

It seems Bradford to West Leeds comes alive with racing after 10pm, it's rare to read that a car involved was not a Golf, Audi A3 or Seat Leon. I don't like cycling on that road during the day and just wouldn't cycle anywhere in the central Bradford to west Leeds area at night, I gave that up years ago.

I won't even drive in Bradford, unless I really, really can't avoid it, the standard of driving is absolutely appalling, It's about time the police went to town on uninsured & stupid drivers there, your right about the Seat's too seems like these idiots start with one of these, then get a VW GTi type thing, and then graduate to an Audi, it would also seem they are starting to favour some models of Mercedes now too.
