surely if you'd been driving at a safe speed for the conditions, you'd have been able to stop in time
ps... i'm yet to meet a cat that hasn't worked it's way out of its collar within a day or two... cats just don't do collars.
Stopping to check it after you'd hit it would still have been the right thing to do!!I was at 35 mph in a 40 limit...if i could hav estopped i would have...it just moved so quick..and it was on th epavement across the road...my eyes were on the road...bang ...firs ti knew of it it was under my wheel.
