Part of the music of my youth. Quite a controversial subject for a song back then. Was even banned on some radio stations.
I'm sure all the bikers were pi***Ng themselves at the bike in the video.

Leader Of The Pack is one of the first records I remember listening to as a must've been 4 or 5 year old on our radio at home. It couldn't have been on Radio 1 or Radio 2 as they didn't start till 1967, nor would it have been Luxembourg or Caroline as Luxembourg was a late night station and Caroline wouldn't have been something mum and dad listened to. BBC local radio didn't start till 1971, so I wonder which station it was. Maybe the BBC had a 'light entertainment' day time broadcast in those days. 🤔

Terry isn't a name I hear any more. In the late sixties I had a friend called Terry and he was in fact a biker.

I'd only ever heard her voice before. It was a shock to see that she was white.

Yeah, they were obviously copying the popular black girl groups of the time. And copying Phil Spector of course, but was in fact produced by George Morton who one of the songs writers.
