Losing two wonderful gentlemen in one year is truly awful.

Many thanks to everyone for your kind messages. They are a comfort to us.
He passed peacefully in his bed on 22nd December.
I will try to continue his cycling legacy.

When I suffered a split tyre on my Brompton when touring somewhere near Ayr in 2022, and mentioned it on here, and my attempts to find a replacement in the bike shops around Ayr, he offered to check if he had any spare and to bring it to me.

I settled for ordering one online, to be delivered to my hotel as I would have felt bad expecting him to drive so far just to give me a tyre. The offer was very much appreciated all the same.
