My family love that programme, RIP.

Oh bleedin 'ell. Without breaking all forum rules, I can't improve on your choice of words.

What a loss. (and he's younger than I thought)

Despite the brilliant Mark Heap upstaging him almost every week (Wilson!), he was one of the great mad TV eccentric characters. Constantly angry and frustrated about something, but always keeping it juuuuust the right side of lunatic!

Very sad news.
He was great in Friday Night Dinner. I’m glad it finished with a closing episode at the end of the last series now.
Also good in the Dad Army biopic playing one of the creators Jimmy Perry.

Quite a shock, I too thoroughly enjoyed Friday night dinner, poor bloke never got a moments peace in his shed, even if he was bloody boiling, was also the forensic doctor in early episodes of Vera

Never heard of him. I bet many like him of a similar age also died of a brain tumour that day. RIP to those as well.

It's my fault.

I was tidying up the HDR the weekend before last and watching and/or deleting stuff that had been on it for years. One that caught my eye, and which I enjoyed, was Complicit (2013) in which PR had a supporting part.

Then, in the following day's news ...
