The man that wrote Black Magic Woman. Will be sadly missed.

Saw him supporting BB King at a concert in Birmingham about 18 years ago. He was a shadow of his former self, having to be carried by the rest of the band.
Not a well man and sad, to the point of upsetting, to see.
I'm surprised he lasted this long to be honest.
RIP and thanks for the music.

A brilliant Blues player, one of the great musician of my era. I will be drowning my sorrows with my cousin, who active on the blues scene when Fleetwood Mac started.

Sad news, met the guy a couple of times and got his autograph both times (once in his biography and once on a CD) and even have a photo of him with his arm around Maz. A nice guy, very humble and polite but he had a great 'bullshit detector' and could be very dismissive of 'breadheads' and yet fine with genuine fans. I've got most of his recordings.

BTW if anyone wants to know the best CD to listen to him/them this is unedited live recordings on top class equipment.

I refuse to acknowledge Fleetwood Mack without him... they were just pants once he'd gone. Albatross was the 'entering' music at my Dad's funeral last year... which elevated that track to a whole new level.
