Without being political or anything, Mr Kirk was a horrible Racist.
I am not sure that Mr Reiner could claim to be... Unless anyone knows better?

I don't think that justified his murder any more than poor old Mr and Mrs Reiner deserved their fate.

I saw Spinal Tap in a half-full cinema in Atlanta, GA back in the mid-80s.

I was the only one laughing most of the time.

I was surprised to discover later that the movie had been directed by an American - because his 'home' audience were mostly unappreciative.

Re: bluenotebob's comment - I always thought the humour was very British. Not to say 'Mericans never get UK comedy, but I wouldn't be surprised if the UK was more receptive to 'Tap.
