Sad or happy news, Tony died this morning, just days after his failed court case.

The great news is that the Police say they will not be investigating the death.

Quite. About 150,000 of them - and a sixth of them will have died from hunger. In that context, I'm afraid I can't generate any grief for someone I've never met and have only heard of (Tony Scott, Tony Nicholson) because it's been on the telly.

It appears that from when the verdict went against him he began a self imposed hunger strike and issued a directive for no further treatment.

All I'll say is you wouldn't let an animal suffer like that and I am so glad for him and his family that he's not suffering any more. God bless him, his and his courageous soul.
