Riser handlebars

Was thinking about getting some riser drop handlebars. Wouldn't mind short reach/drop with eg 20mm rise. Anyone use riser bars and have recommendations?

Assuming your head tube is cut too low, have you considered replacing the forks and experimenting with the height of your current bars?

old bike with rim brakes. Reach seems longer then the other bikes
Newer fork probably more expensive than bars. Looked at one brand and the drop was 103 which is 27mm less than my current fork plus I can get a flare. Fork maybe about 100 plus.

Presumably, that’s the only reason for using riser drop handlebars. Is that the case?

If not, surely spacers would be a better solution?

or a shorter higher angle stem?

whilst I prefer compact drop bars, most of the time you ride on the tops / hoods so the drop depth is largely cosmetic.
