Sram would be my prefeence because I prefer the hoods, the double tap shifting and it weighs less. Nowt wrong with 105 though. You need to try a Sram shod bike as ultimately if you don't like double tap shifting you might regret going down the Sram route.

Another vote for trying the SRAM before buying. Personally I really didn't get on with the double-tap shifting.

I think, but may not be right, that around that time they just cured a few faults with it. Something to do with the levers breaking.

Are you going for the large 32 tooth rear cog?

If you are i would say shimano as the extra cog will fill in the hole in the ratios.

If not then...eeny meeny miney moe...

But i would still go shimano either way.
