i have recently bought a triban 3 road bike from decathlon, aluminium frame with carbon forks, 700 x 23mm tyres, will i be able to use this bike on light tracks, towpaths etc.

Yes, I cycle the 8 miles to work all towpath on my Triban 3

Yes. I use my T3 off road on bridleways. Mud and deep pea-shingle stop it though.

Maybe get some better, grippier tyres. Stock tyres tend to be pretty poor. Something like a Vittoria Rubino is inexpensive and has grip

Upgrade the wheels as soon as you can. Something like Shimano RS10's at just over £100 will make a big difference and cope with the different surfaces you plan to ride on. The stock wheels are pretty pants tbh .
I put rs10's on with Vittora Rubino 700x23c and it transformed the bike
