I am your Father
Think i've narrowed it down to these:

Felt F85 Tiagra Wiggle Exclusive
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/felt-f85-tiagra-wiggle-exclusive/

Ribble 7005 Sportive Shimano
http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/sed/r...equipped?part=SE14RIBSHIM7005SP&sub=conf_SERW

Or maybe the planet x as you mentioned looks good?
Of the two I would pick the Felt.

Most likely a better frame & those Rodi Airline wheels that come as standard spec on the Ribble are pants.
They weigh over 2.1 kg without tyres, tubes or skewers & will seriously hurt on the hills.
The Felt on the other hand has Mavic CXP 22's, not the lightest wheel set but robust & much higher in quality.

I have the Felt F85 from Wiggle and it is sweet. I am a serious mountain biker who rides road for fitness, and the Felt is great value, rock solid, very stiff and efficient. It can be a bit harsh if the roads are bad, and also watch the geometry - it's very racy, which you may not like. And the stock saddle is rubbish (too narrow and bad shape), so you'll need to budget a little more for a decent saddle. Otherwise: wonderful bike. And it looks good too!

I looked at getting a ribble sporting azzurro with 105 but the rodi wheels have shocking reviews that they don't last 3 months etc ,as I'm spending ( well I've spent) lol £1000 on a bike I don't want to start spending £2-300 extra on wheels ,just to throw a spanner in the works the bike of the month is a cube peloton race £1000
