Can anyone mention any £700-£1000 bikes (road or hybrid) that have the holes/eyelets to take a rear pannier rack please? Preferably light/fast rather than heavy/slow.

All suggestions greatly welcomed.

Are you sure the latest ones do. Not that it matters as you can attach p clips

Op a bike is only as fast as the rider ;)

Thanks
Never heard of p clips....will take a look.
Any bike is faster than my 17yr old knackered mountain bike lol
Will have a look at both Defy 2 & 1....and Ribble.
Thanks again!

My Fuji has both rack and brake eyelets (one of my main criteria as well), so it could be worth looking at the men's versions of those. Mine is a £700 model of the women's version.

Cannondale Synapse Disc is set up for guards and panniers and has loads of clearance for the tyres. On top of that it's actual geometry is set up for longer rides (Not just racing) So it's more comfortable for either commute or touring.

My Specialized Secteur Elite has them but it's a few years old (four?). It's quite a reasonable bike. Check the specs of the more recent models. I have been up and down the LF1 in Holland on it a few times with 12kg in the panniers and it's been fun.
