Commuted on 23mm Ultra Gatorskins all winter without a problem, Ive now changed to Michelin Pro 3's for summer/racing and no problems, even in todays p******* down rain!

The Kendas that came on the bike were worse than useless. A puncture every other day - even the tiniest fleck of glass went straight through them.
Grippy though.

And a boon for inner tube manufacturers - at one point I was carrying three tubes on my commute, with every expectation of using them.

Theres a bit of a cycle path on my ride which is never ever swept (that's York council for you) which is covered in road debris , broken glass, sharp stones etc and has been for ages.

This is what you need [attached]

I had a couple of roadside flats (700 x 23) recently within a few days of each other. Previously I went for months without a problem. Both time i was quite late for work, absolute nightmare to fix and had to walk back home twice in defeat (1.5 miles).

I couldnt keep letting this happen so I splashed out and fitted Scwalbe Marathon Plus (700 x 25) hopefully I wont get any more problems for a while.

Rather you than me: in my experience they'd as soon go sideways as forwards on any kind of wet surface. Michelin Krylion FTW

Must be the way you ride, I was doing 30mph coming off the Lammermuirs in a heavy rain last weekend on 25mm Conti GattorSkins, with no worries...

marathon plus are def the way to go in my experience, had them about 18ms and not a single puncture. tipping point for me was getting a puncture with contis and then breaking my hand pump, in my hand..GRRR!!!

Must be my riding too, I'd sh*t myself doing that on 'gators - skiddiest tyre I've tried yet on wet roads.
