Puzzle game procrastinator!
You mean does the rubber perish over the years? To be honest, I don't know but I wouldn't have expected it to. If the blocks have perished then the tyres are likely to be completely trashed!

I'd just check everything over and if it looks okay, go out for test ride on some quiet flat roads and check that everything still works properly. Why change the callipers if they work?

PS Thinking about it, I've had my best road bike (a Cannondale) since 2003 and I can't remember ever changing the brake blocks on it. They are still perfectly okay.

Awesome, been a few years since I've had a bike with rubber pads on.

The Tyre's are knackered thou and I need some more along with a new seat

Not cheap ... but Kool-Stop pads are the business. Salmon are the most effective in the wet. I've been using the dual-compound ones. Half salmon/half black. Well able to lock the wheels.
