And there was I thinking its ok to have different tyres on the front and back. Just out to the garage to change mine because mine definately don't match. Mavic and Conti I have, how am I still alive?

Tyres should match, at least for aesthetic reasons!

Using Vittoria randonneur pro 2 32's on my cross bike which come up at around 29mm on my Archetypes;roll nicely and are good for rougher gravel paths etc,not mud or wet grass though.

But I don't mind how my bike looks either
