Robert Fripp the proud Husband

Anyone else notice how proud and pleased he seemed to be on tonights show. I, as a long time King Crimson and anything Fripp fan, was annoyed about was thet he was not interviewed . Other very minor celebs were but the guitar god that he is was igored and placed at the back. Thankfully the producer or camera-person realised who he was and kept including him.

I didn't even realise Toyah was on it until the credits at the end.
Aren't they a couple with a strange marriage where he lives in America and she in England ?

Yes Robert Fripp is married to Toyah Wilcox but they have seperate houses and practically lead seperate lives...and seem to be happy with the scenario.

There was a thing in last month's Mojo about Robert Fripp and Brian Eno's album No Pussyfooting. John Peel got hold of a preview copy on reel to reel and played the whole album on his show - backwards!

Mind you a lot of Fripp or Eno stuff could probably be played either way - good story though!

Indeed, and the world would be a poorer place without guys like him, Eno, and many others that plough their own furrow, so to speak.

Coming down the stairs in the Royal Festival Hall last night to the sound of Annie Nightingale spinning that fab riff from In the Court of the Crimson King.......which quickly morphed into a frantic drum & bass mix.

Sign of the times, eh?
